A clinical study conducted by Dermatest (2017) examined the daily intake of hydrolyzed marine collagen in women aged 40–55 years over a period of eight weeks. The researchers reported measurable changes in skin moisture levels, with an average change of 34.8% on the face and 11.1% on the forearm. No negative or pathological side effects were observed during the study.

A longer, placebo-controlled study conducted by Biognosis (2020) involved 115 healthy adults who received either hydrolyzed marine collagen or placebo over a period of six months. The study analyzed parameters related to skin, hair, and nails. The researchers reported differences between the groups, with observed variations ranging from 4% to 17%, depending on the measurement range and follow-up time. The most pronounced changes were noted during the initial months of the study.
